Express Money Transfers

First Investment Bank provides you with the opportunity to order and receive express money transfers both in the country and abroad.

You can order or receive an express money transfer in BGN or foreign currency without having an account opened with the Bank.

Depending on your needs you can choose between the following express money transfers:

  • Express-M - express money transfers in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria;
  • Western Union - fast money transfers
Express-M

First Investment Bank is an agent of Express-M – express money transfers system.

The Express-M system allows natural persons to send money transfers in BGN on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

Express–M Advantages:

  • The transfer amount is available for collection immediately after its ordering;
  • You don’t need a bank account;
  • Security – the ordering customer can create a code word (password) for transfer payment.

In order to send money you will need to:

  • Visit any branch of First Investment Bank (excluding the Technomarket Fibank branches);
  • Present I.D. document, beneficiary name and phone number (recommended) and create a code word (password) for transfer payment;
  • Deposit in cash or transfer from your own bank account the transfer amount;
  • The officer who accepted your transfer order will inform you of the transfer reference number;
  • Contact the person to whom you are sending the money, and give him or her the reference number and the password if you have created one;
  • The transfer can be received immediately at each office of Express–M system.

In order to receive money you will need to:

  • Visit any branch of First Investment Bank (excluding the Technomarket Fibank branches);
  • Present your I.D. document and provide the bank officer with the transfer’s reference number and give the code word (password), if the sender has created one;
  • Fill-in the “receive” form and you will be given your money;
  • The money collection is free of charge for the beneficiary.

Fast Western Union® money transfers are now available in all Fibank branches in Bulgaria.

  • Receive money in Bulgaria from people around the world.

How to send money with Western Union®?

Visit your nearest Fibank branch in Bulgaria and complete a simple Western Union® ‘TO SEND MONEY' form. Hand in the form to the Western Union agent, along with a valid ID document, the money you want to send and the applicable fees to the agent. You will be given a receipt with the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN**). Communicate the MTCN to the person to whom you're sending the money.

How to receive money via Western Union®?

Ask the sender for your Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN**). Most people call or text this number using their mobile phones. Visit PayPoint location that offers the Western Union® Money TransferSM service and complete a simple ‘TO RECEIVE MONEY' form. Hand the completed form along with your ID document to the Western Union agent. Collect the money transfer and the receipt.
**The MTCN is a mandatory requirement for payout in many countries. Your Western Union agent will be able to provide you with more information.
